Danny, I know it is hard sometimes, parents only see our lives from their own view point. I know I am a parent and I sometimes do it with my son as well. I want what I want for him and I miss seeing what he wants from himself. Though I have to admit I have never tried to “exercise the demons” out of him. When I have these kinds of conversations with dear mom or dad–and believe you me, I’ve had a couple–I usually calm down with a nice bit of Bombay Sapphire and then bang my head in the keyboard a few times. Seems to distract me from the problem at hand.
Anyway, the point is, try to network more with some Hollywood types and I guarantee you’ll land something sooner or later. And while I can’t guarantee that you’ll be completely free of demons, at least they will be wearing a tailored suit and get you in to the ritzier clubs normal mortals rarely visit.
