So I have been scouring the interwebs to find the most amazing things to do on my trip, and I’ve had a lot of great suggestions from a few of you as well. Planning is fun, except I keep getting distracted by big toys I can bring with me:) Scuba gear, new cameras, some small electric surprises for you all. (Don’t be naughty, I know what you’re thinking;) )
I need someone to make me a list of where all the oversized fruit attractions are- I’ve been trying to look into this, as of course I love awkward tourist attractions as much as the next guy, but so far all I have is a pineapple (and a lobster- not a fruit!) So, if any of you want to make a short list of the best, worst tourism ideas, send ‘em at me!
Also, fun fact I learned about Surfer’s Paradise in my research. It is not actually a surfer’s paradise. True story, look it up:)

You’ve definitely got to do the Big Banana at Coff’s Harbour. I’d say that’s the most famous one. They have a banana shop and a banana cafe there, plus its surrounded by a banana plantation. You could run around singing ur srpksi banana rap
.
interwebs love to you
The other most famous ones are the Big Prawn and the Big Sheep. But apparently there’s many different big sheep so I don’t know which is the famous one :/
But anyway- banana, pineapple, prawn, sheep = biggest of the big things. I think theres a big toaster too..

lists all the big things- I myself have only driven past the banana as a kid, and have lived here al my life, sad indeed.

There is a Big Mango as you drive through Bowen in North Queensland. Not much else to see or do in Bowen though…. I live in Townsville which is 2 hours north of Bowen, you will pass through on your way to the Daintree, no awkward large fruit but a beautiful spot to stop & see some sights….
